DESCRIPTION:As part of our 10th anniversary celebrations\, we are delighted to announce that the GNCCF has partnered up with Design Manchester – DM17 – and will form part of this annual October festival.\nCelebrating its 10th edition\, the multi award-winning GNCCF is one of the leading selling events for contemporary craft in the UK\, attracting over 6000 visitors. It showcases contemporary craft to buy from over 160 selected designer-makers in: ceramics\, glass\, jewellery\, interior and fashion textiles\, wood\, paper\, silver\, metal\, product design\, print-making and more. The GNCCF shows work from new and established makers\, from emerging graduates to high end makers.  Visitors can chat to the makers and buy or commission work directly from them. \nSince 2008\, when Thomas Heatherwick opened the show\, the GNCCF has become a much-anticipated highlight in the North’s cultural calendar. It was voted Small Event of the Year at Manchester’s Tourism Awards 2014\, having previously won in 2011\, and was a Finalist in the Northern Design Awards 2013. \nFor the first time\, the GNCCF will be art of The Design Manchester Festival which offers more than 50 events in locations all over Manchester from 11 to 22 October 2017\, including the Design Conference\, the annual Great Debate\, the Design City Weekender and numerous exhibitions\, talks\, workshops and parties.
